These pieces by Sergio Basi play with the textures provided by fire; the clay transforms into something powerful, challenging to handle, yet ultimately tamed by the ceramicist. Holding them in your hands is feeling the origin of everything. Piece crafted using slab construction and the kurinuki technique (Japanese carving).
